CHELSEA, MI — Susie Sutter has been working in restaurants since she was a teenager.

From her days as a student at Eastern Michigan University to her time as a Chicago resident and now as a mother of five, front-of-house restaurant labor has remained in the Dexter resident’s blood for almost 30 years.

“Sometimes you get somebody who’s a little bit grumpy and then turning their whole demeanor around by just making sure they have the best time … you can really affect people just by showing them how service is done,” Sutter, 47, said.

Sutter will soon expand her restaurant resume to include inaugural general manager at Emmy-winning actor Jeff Daniels’ new music venue and restaurant, JD’s Stage Bistro, 117 ½ S. Main St., in Chelsea, according to a March 24 press release.Full Article
