Time Off From “The Newsroom”

Fans know him as the face of Atlantis Cable News delivering all the hard-hitting stories on HBO’s The Newsroom.

But on Chelsea Lately, Jeff Daniels shared an activity he loves to do that doesn’t require any teleprompters or scripts. The actor loves to pack his clubs and enjoy a round of golf.

“I’m not bad. Got a hole in one like 10 days ago,” Daniels admitted to Chelsea Handler.

Before sounding too impressive, the actor reminded the host, “Anyone can really do it.”

In 1976, I bought a Guild D-40 from Herb David’s Guitar Studio in Ann Arbor, Michigan, threw it in the back of my old Buick, and moved to New York City. That guitar led me to a creative outlet, became a solace, my church, a road into the artist I didn’t know existed. I put every song I ever wrote into a big, black notebook.
