NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) – Acting, singing, performing, it’s all in a day’s work for Jeff Daniels.

The star who shot to fame in the 1980s hit ‘Terms of Endearment’ co-starring Jack Nicholson, Debra Winger and Shirley MacClaine has been playing the guitar and singing for just as long.

He takes the stage later this week for in a special one-man show.

“It’s just me out there with a guitar. Some of the songs are about things that happened, like (during) Terms of Endearment I stayed in a motel where everyone else stayed in the Ritz Carlton,” said Daniels.

One of the songs fans are likely to hear from Daniels is titled “Baby, Take Your Tongue Out Of My Mouth I’m Kissing It Goodbye.”

“If they’re not laughing hard, then I’ve failed,” said Daniels.

Catch Daniels at 54 Below, 254 54th St., NYC; Feb. 27- Mar. 1.
